The service side
Expert Repairs, Fast Turnaround, Fair Price
Lights and electrical systems, brake controls, axles and hubs, springs, jacks and fenders. Our repair technicians are fully qualified and we have certified welders on staff. We prefer that you make an appointment, but we also accept drive-ins, and in most cases we can get you back on the road that day.
What's on the repair ticket
If it rolls on wheels behind a truck, our shop can work on it, whether we sold it to you or not. The list below is what we publish, and it covers most of what comes through the gate. Structural and welding work stays in house because we have certified welders on staff, so a cracked frame member or a torn hitch mount does not have to leave the lot to get fixed.
No hidden gotchas on your bill
We would rather tell you the number before we start than surprise you at pickup. That is the whole idea behind no hidden gotchas on your bill: parts and labor get talked through up front, and if we find something else while we are already under the trailer, we call before we touch it. Cash and personal check are both accepted.
Cope's Trailers, certified welders on staff, drive-ins welcome. Call the repair and parts line at (409) 220-1308.

Repair & Parts Line
(409) 220-1308
Call this line direct for a repair or a part. It is a different desk from sales, and it is published exactly once on our whole site, right here.
The published repair list
This is our own list, the same one we hand a customer at the counter. Every line is a job we do routinely, not a maybe.
Electrical and braking
- Lights and electrical systems
- Wiring, plugs, brake lights and running lights.
- Brake controls
- Electric brake assemblies and the controller that fires them.
Running gear
- Axles and hubs
- Bearings, seals and full axle swaps.
- Springs
- Leaf springs and the hangers and shackles that carry them.
- Jacks
- Tongue jacks and landing gear, replaced or repaired.
Body and boat trailers
- Fenders
- Cracked, torn or missing fenders, fitted to the trailer you bring in.
- Boat Trailers
- Winches, rollers, bunks and the hardware specific to a boat trailer.
That is the published list, and it is not the whole of it. Brake controllers, wiring harnesses, wheel bearings, tail lights, ramp gates and hitch hardware all come through the same bay, on trailers we sold and on trailers somebody else sold. If it has a stock number here or not, bring it by and we will take a look.
We would rather you called ahead and set a time, because a scheduled job jumps the queue over a walk-in. That said, we also accept drive-ins, and more often than not you are looking at a same-day fix rather than a trailer left on our lot overnight. Cash and personal check are both fine at the counter when the work is done.
